So the day had finally arrived, early Saturday morning in May 2019, over 20 minis and their excited owners and passengers met at Cardiff Gate services ready for the beautiful journey ahead.   Newport Mini Owners Club planned its usual idyllic route, which is great for minis, along twisty narrow roads through the Brecon Beacons with a well earnt picnic stop at the Elan valley visitors centre.

After lunch we headed off for our final destination Aberystwyth, where everyone checked into local hotels and b&b’s before meeting up later in the evening for food and drinks, and plenty of chatting, not too many drink as it’s an early start on Sunday for show day.

The Following morning there were a few sore heads, Luckily it was only a short drive to Aberaeron's picturesque harbour side, where we were met by more mini owners from all around the county. The crowds came out in force to support this wonderful event, approx. 70 minis in total turned up, which made the event a great success.

Mondays drive home took in some of the best mini roads in the country with breath taking views and even an old rally stage.

If you can’t make the whole weekend, Sunday only visitors are more than welcome to join us.
